    Job Title: Engineering Manager (Off the Tools)

    Glasgow (Office Based), Monday - Friday (No Weekends Required)

    We are seeking a senior mechanical or electrical engineer with strong technical knowledge, some experience managing, and a desire to transition off the tools.

    This established company champions employee development and progression. They represent clients across the UK, specializing in design, products, and services for the Electricity Supply Utilities industry.

    The ideal candidate will lead a team of up to 10 technicians and engineers, ensuring efficient delivery and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include acting as primary contact for new service tenders, overseeing field service activities, hiring, training, and mentoring the service team.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead and manage the service department to ensure efficient delivery and customer satisfaction
    • Oversee the field service schedule, identifying and resolving conflicts
    • Identify and develop new business and revenue streams within the service department
    • Participate in training and development opportunities tailored to individual needs

    Requirements:

    • Holds strong engineering technical knowledge
    • Prior supervisor/team lead/management experience, showcasing a can-do attitude
    • Comfortable leading and managing a growing field-based team
    • Resides in a commutable distance to the Glasgow office
