Duties

• Set up and operate CNC machines to perform precision machining operations
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, and specifications to determine machining operations
• Select and install cutting tools, tool holders, fixtures, and machine accessories according to drawing specifications
• Load materials into the machine and ensure proper alignment
• Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions or outoftolerance machining
• Adjust machine controls and offsets as necessary to ensure quality production
• Inspect finished products for accuracy and conformance to specifications
• Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment, as well as to the workshop

Skills:

• Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of machining principles
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and their specifications
• Comfortable with programming online to drawing specifications
• Knowledge of tooling selection and installation procedures
• Basic math skills for calculations and measurements
• Experience with CAD software is preferred but not required
• Welding experience is a plus
