Have you got product management experience and want to develop your career further? If so, our Product Lead role could be for you.

A product manager defines, owns and solve problems. They manage a product through discovery, alpha, beta and live states. They support lead and senior product managers. They may line manage associate product managers and support their professional development.

They have a deep knowledge of product management techniques and are developing expert skills. They may be involved in recruitment.

This can be an 'entry level' role for new product managers who have been working in other digital roles or civil servants with sufficient experience across other competencies.

  • Salary between £ £53351 plus a £5000 annual Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) pay supplement after a 3 month qualifying period. This supplement is backdated and paid with your monthly salary.

Hybrid Working
We embrace a hybrid working style where all colleagues will spend time in either our Glasgow or Dundee offices. There is an expectation of a minimum of 2 days per week in your assigned location. Base office location can be in either Dundee or Glasgow.

Responsibilities:


The Product Lead is a key role in the team, facilitating the development and delivery of core improvements to live services and affecting real change to client experience.

This role will include but not be limited to the following duties:


  • Responsible for managing daytoday product planning and delivery on behalf of Senior Product Managers, across a range of social security welfare benefit projects or support services and platforms
  • Support the development and delivery of functionality, for which you are responsible, to meet the needs of both internal and external users
  • Understand the relationship between your specific products and how they relate to any wider systems and processes that contribute to overall management and development of live services
  • Create effective, prioritised product descriptions and delivery plans to meet user needs in a cost effective way
  • Develop and manage supplier rel
