Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated sonographer to join our team for a fixed term of 6 months (maternity cover).

The Ultrasound department provides a high quality, efficient and effective Ultrasound service to the local population across Forth Valley at both Forth Valley Royal Hospital and Stirling Healthcare Village.

We are an inclusive department and supportive of flexible working patterns. Participation in weekend working (1 in 8) would be expected.

Personal development and CPD is actively encouraged and promoted with sonographer-led peer review audit undertaken regularly.

We are a keen training centre for new sonographers with a mentorship framework, for trainees and newly qualified staff in place to help with their training and eventual transition into advanced practice.

We also are involved in the training of specialist registrars in all aspects of diagnostic ultrasound.
- have HCPC registration
- be educated to Postgraduate/Masters level in General Medical Ultrasound
- have good working experience in a variety of ultrasound examinations
