Job advert- Community Engagement and Support Officer

  • Required: as soon as possible
    Salary: Grade 5 Scale Point 1217 £24,496 £26,845 FTE (Actual salary £10,389£11,385)
  • Hours: 18.75 hours a week: Monday
  • Friday: 08:30am 12:15pm


  • Contract type: Permanent

  • The Coombes Church of England Primary School is looking to appoint an approachable, empathetic and proactive Community Engagement and Support Officer to join their staff team.
  • This role is a unique opportunity to get involved within a thriving school community, actively engaging with and supporting pupils and families within our school community. As a Church of England School, we have a strong Christian ethos which permeates all we do.
  • Be able to develop and build supportive relationships with families.
  • Have highly effective communication skills.
  • Be able to oversee/coordinate the planning and delivery of pastoral support for children.
  • Actively engage with and support our school community to ensure regular school attendance
  • Monitor and evaluate school attendance, working with stakeholders to support families
  • Be able to deliver workshops and other training for parents.
  • Understand the importance of confidentiality and diplomacy and values diversity.
  • Take responsibility for their own effective time management and contribute to the overall ethos, work and aims of the school.
