This role is based at our beautiful Central Support Office in Liphook with excellent travel links

The Role

You will own the tone of voice for Rocksteady
The 'Guardian of Comms'

  • Ensuring brand and tone consistency across all written content through a combination of directly writing copy and setting templates and guidelines for other people across the business to use
Identifying opportunities to improve how we talk to stakeholders
Create new and exciting campaigns (working with others in the business) to drive awareness of Rocksteady and engagement from educational leaders and influencers
Help raise the overall profile of Rocksteady and the Rocksteady Foundation globally
Support our People Team and SLT with corporate and employee value communications
Build relationships with music and education trade titles, increase coverage of Rocksteady and oversee inbound enquiries
Identify, enter and win relevant industry Awards (and help celebrate them)

Skills and Experience

Strong experience in a similar role, working for a growing organisation, ideally operating in international markets.

Planning and organising

Creative story telling


Creating compelling and exciting campaigns which, tell a brand story to multiple audiences on multiple traditional and digital channels, and adapting content accordingly.

Attention to detail


In this role, you must have the most eagle eye for grammar, tone of voice, audience, and how it fits in to a wider strategy.

We're looking for someone who's really understands the importance of nuanced communications

Media outreach

The ability to build relationships with key media outlets to increase Rocksteady's brand awareness and reach.

Team player

Flexibility in this role is important due to the nature of some reactive content we need to produce. You will also need to work with multiple departments to deliver effective communications

Interpersonal communication skills


A strong communicator with the ability to talk confidently about key results and deliverables to internal stakeholders, and partners at all levels.

Ability to confidently step in and direct consistent communication approaches across the business when leadership is required.
