About the Role

The Social Sciences team seeks a Publisher to oversee social science journals, ensuring they grow with the research community, expanding networks, partnerships, and output from underrepresented regions.

Success requires maintaining an excellent network with Elsevier editors, authors, and societies through local and international travel, attending conferences, and visiting academic institutes.

Responsibilities

Stay up-to-date with market developments to identify needs and opportunities.
Combine market knowledge and data analysis to develop a portfolio strategy that delivers on targets.
Manage content growth organically and by acquisition.
Innovate content formats, extensions, and channels.
Collaborate with team members and colleagues to deliver projects and goals.

Requirements

A degree or PhD in Social Sciences is desirable but not essential.
Relevant publishing experience or experience in a related role.
Excellent networking and communication skills in English.
Ability to adapt to change and handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
