Dental Receptionist to join our friendly and professional team in
Hook, Hampshire.

The first Dentalcare surgery opened in 1964 and have since built a reputation in serving people well.

The Hook Team


The practice is situated in the centre of Hook, which offers quick access to the superstore, nearby schools, and parks.

You will work within a 10-minute walk from the Hook train station.


This NHS practice is situated within hook village, within a high footfall location - which means that our four surgeries are always busy.

We offer a mix of NHS and Private options to patients and offer specialist services such as Whitening, Invisalign.


There are separate staff facilities with the staff room joining the office, offering all the facilities needed for your breaks.

The team confirms that they are a very friendly Practice, with 4 dentists.

There are 3 receptionists to welcome patients and the surgeries are supported with 4 nurses - 2 of which are qualified nurses and 2 nurses that are working towards their qualification.

This is a bright practice, with plenty of room in each of the surgeries.


The practice offers disability access through a removable ramp, a decontamination room, digital X-rays, and there are a few parking spaces at the rear of the practice, with free parking on the streets near-by.


The Role & Responsibilities

  • You will provide the highest levels of patient support and professionalism at all times.
  • You will be managing a busy Reception with a high number of telephone calls, patients and staff to support
  • It is therefore important that you have outstanding telephone manner and excellent customer service / communication skills and that you want to put patients' interest first.
  • You will be tasked to assist with various administration, filing and other tasks as required by the team.
  • We are looking for a committed and hardworking individual to join our happy team and assist in our growth. It is also important that you are friendly, enthusiastic, and able to work well under pressure.

The Working Hours

  • We have a part time role available, working Monday 08:4 17:00, Tuesday 12:00 17:00 and Wednesday 08:4 17:00.
  • The start date for this role is as soon as possible

About You

  • You will have completed a Secondary / GCSE or similar qualification.
  • We are ideally looking for a minimum of 2 years' experience working within a busy Dental Reception or similar customerfacing role.
  • It is essential that you are a highly responsible, reliable, diligent, and hardworking individual.
  • Dental Reception and SOE/Exact Dental Software experience would be preferred (although not essential as training can be provided).
  • You will have an ability to work with the public and within a team, with a willingness to learn and be mentored.
