About the Care Home Cook/Kitchen Assistant position:
We are looking for experienced Cooks or Kitchen Assistants who have worked within the healthcare sector. As a Cook or Kitchen Assistant, you are responsible for preparing and providing meals for service users.

You will work closely with other care staffin order to ensure that meals are nutritious and dietary needs for the service user are met (especially when it comes to allergies or religious and cultural backgrounds).

Aside from preparing meals, you will also need to order supplies, carry out regular stockchecks and make sure high hygiene standards are maintained in the working area.


Requirements for the position:


  • Must have a minimum of 2+ years experience working as a Cook/Kitchen Assistant in a care home setting or other kitchen based environments (preferably in the UK)
  • Must have an NVQ Level 2 in Food Safety and Hygiene or equivalent
  • Must have experience working in a healthcare setting with vulnerable people
  • Must have a valid, enhanced DBS
  • Must be based in the UK and prepared to travel within London and Essex where required
  • Must have valid right to work in the UK
