Fabric Cutter

Andrea Hawkes is a bridal design studio based in Angel, Islington. AH has just celebrated a wonderful milestone of 10 years. We make wedding and occasion dresses to order in our London studio.

We are looking for a fabric cutter to join our close knit team of creatives.

Position is full time ideally but open to consider part time (4 days minimum) for the right person.

Must have an understanding of handling luxury fabrics such as silk, including delicates like chiffon.

Understanding of cutting fabric on the bias.
Able to work with patterns. Ideally can make amendments to patterns if needed.
Producing lay plans and utilising fabrics.

Fabric stock management. Working alongside the production manager to ensure fabric stock is ordered.

Some grading experience would be beneficial but not essential.

Experience within the bridal or luxury fashion industry preferable.

Positive and can do attitude is essential. We are a close knit studio team and we are looking for someone who is a team player

You need to be able to keep a tidy workspace and have good time management.

You will have contact with our clients as we are an open studio so being presentable and polite is important.

Must be able to read and communicate in English.

Role to start asap. Salary based on experience.
