CCB has operations in over 40 countries.Responsibilities/Accountabilities
- Develop, refine and drive strategy including Target Market; Market Share and Client wallet.
- Define a go to market approach and put in place a strategy execution plan
- Develop target operating models aligned to Product, Risk and Operational roles and responsibilities
- Ensure strategic goals that guide future growth and development of the Bank are prioritized and translated into tactical business plans with mechanisms for key measurements in place to monitor progress
- Put in place clear processes and KPIs that measure the execution against strategy
- Leverage the efforts of different operational areas to ensure mínimal duplication of efforts, maximum efficiency and to maximize value for money
- Lead CCB strategy development and opportunity identification
- Proactively monitor external market and competitive trends. Build and nurture relationships with key constituencies consultants, bankers, thought leaders.
- Structure, manage, and lead teams through the strategy cycle assembling the fact base, executing rigorous analysis, and developing actionable recommendations
- Iterate our longer term vision: what will the world look like and what does CCB want to be, how can we be our best for our clients and what do we stand for?
- Partner with key business unit heads and functional leaders to ensure buyin and alignment
- Proactively identity and surface strategic issues and opportunities
- Support business unit requests for strategic assistance/resources for regional or local businesses challenges
- Ensure the team is adding tangible value and measurable P&L impact and thus is not viewed as "overhead"
- Partner with Finance to ensure key investments are evaluated rigorously, align with strategy, and performance is tracked against expectations
- Partner closely with ICG Strategy function to ensure CCB strategy is aligned with and informed by ICG
- Assist and/or lead initiatives and special projects critical to the direction of business on behalf of the Global Head of CCB
- Lead storyline and develop materials for key internal and external audiences: CEO, Board, Investor Communication
- Drive clientcentric solutions to differentiate Citi in the marketplace and achieve substantial growth targets for the business.
- Manage through change and provide transformational leadership.
- Build and develop a high performing team. Attract, motivate, develop and retain superior executive talent.
- Partner with other leaders on the CCB senior management team to share best practices and drive commercial banking strategies and solutions globally.
- Corporate Banking or Commercial Banking experience
- Strong ability to understand both Citi's and CCB's Strategy, Value Proposition and Products
- Futurecompatible and clientcentric mindset: sharp awareness of present and future client needs
- Strong and clear vision of CCB's future, based on deep industry and market insight
- Strong collaboration and partnership focus to drive innovative change
- High level of curiosity to continuously identify market trends and disruptions that impact CCB and/or its clients and ability to shift strategy to stay competitive
- Strong execution and implementation ability
- Exemplary leadership skills to engage diverse teams to partner and work together
Technical Qualifications:
- Experience in people management
- Ability to Lead a Global Business, some multiregional experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree required. Master's preferred
- Experience managing and leading in a commercial or corporate banking environment
- Comprehensive understanding of the industry, with an advanced understanding of, and experience with, all related banking and investment products
