Working Model:
Hybrid Working.


Employment status:
Full-time, Permanent.


Working hours:
Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm.

Out of Hours standby duty to support system incidents will also be required. This is 1 week in 3 rotated amongst team members.


Office Location:
Stansted Abbotts, England.


Reporting to:
Infrastructure Manager


In this role you will add value to PXP by:
Being responsible for assisting with the maintenance, deployment and monitoring of all production and corporate infrastructure.


This role is ideal for someone wishing to be a part of a fast paced working environment, within the financial services sector.


A typical week as a Systems Administrator might involve:

  • Assisting with the setup, monitoring and troubleshooting of all servers.
  • Assisting with the maintenance of the hyperconverged environments.
  • Assisting with the implementation of software and hardware updates following change management procedures.
  • Maintaining and administering security access.
  • Assisting with the setup and management of infrastructure resilience and backup strategies.
  • Proactively monitoring and responding to system alerts and alarms.
  • Ensuring that all activity is performed in compliance with the audit standards (e.g. SOC2, GDPR, PCI DSS).
  • Providing 2nd line support for infrastructure performance issues.
  • Providing out of hours support to the business oncall (one week in three).
  • Providing flexible support to users in line with business requirements.
  • Provisioning new user devices using Microsoft management platforms.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a proven, demonstrable interest and understanding of technology (servers, storage systems, networks).
  • Holds demonstrable experience working with Windows server across both onpremises and cloud based systems.
  • Has experience managing and configuring virtual environments (VMware ESXi).

We would love someone to have any of the following:

  • Experience with configuration and management of network infrastructure (i.e. Firewalls, Switches, Routers).
  • Experience with the configuration and management of BIG IP F
  • Experience with managing and configuring Nutanix.
  • Experience with monitoring tools.
  • Experience administering Azure VMs.
