Tyrrells Wood Golf Club is a busy private members club with over 800 members.

Our food & beverage department plays a pivotal role in providing members and visitors with the complete package.

Regular lunches, social events and private celebrations fill the calendar on an annual basis and our two bars and two function rooms cater for20 up to 150 people.

You will predominantly work daytime hours on a 5 out of 7 basis, evening shifts can be dependent on functions and weekend availability is rotated.

Flexibility will be required from time to time to support the needs of the business.


Are you the right person for the job?

• Experience in cooking for large numbers at functions and weddings is essential
• Level 3 in Food Hygiene is preferred
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Great customer service skills
• A handson approach
• Good standard of written and spoken English
• Smart personal presentation and polite manner
• Reliable, hardworking with a desire to progress and develop your career

What will your role as a Sous Chef look like?

• Your role will include managing the kitchen operations alongside the Head Chef and Kitchen Manager, ensuring high quality food is provided to our members and visitors at all times
• In addition to the daytoday ad hoc catering, a key feature of the business is the function trade which ranges from wedding receptions to conferences as well as Sunday lunches
• You must possess the skills and experience to be in charge of the kitchen operations when the Head Chef is absent
