Description

As a result of the COVID-19 situation, STARLIGHT TUTORIAL is looking for an
Online Academic Tutor (part-time) to help our clients with their study issues.

The Tutor will serve as a point where our clients could reach for help when they encounter challenges academically.

The Tutor will also need to demonstrate knowledge and skills through either private tutoring or informal teaching to assist our clients in overcoming those academic challenges.


What you will do for this role:

  • Assist our clients with their study issues and provide effective solutions
  • Help our clients complete necessary courseworks and nonexam assessments
  • Help our clients revise for exam assessments

What you will need for this role:


Required:


  • Deep understanding about the UK education system, including module structures and assessment methods
  • Ability to identify study issues that our clients face, and to solve them with personal tutoring
  • Ability to teach in an informal setting to one or more participants upon requests
  • Fluency in both Mandarin Chinese and English

Desirable:


  • Master degree or above from a recognised UK university
  • Previous experience of a teaching position in a formal or informal setting
  • Knowledge about study skills development and how it can be applied in a higher education context
