LEICESTER (hybrid)

£40,000 - £50,000 + benefits

This is an exciting opportunity to join this leading retailer and unlock your management experience, as you lead the team by example on projects and help nurture junior talent in the team.

You can join the wider data team in the Leicester office twice aweek as you take on a new and exciting role.

THE COMPANY:

This is a leading distributor of tools and equipment to a varied client base.

They are in the middle of a digital and data transformation, having rebuilt their data warehouse and made data the heart of their business.

They now want the analytics team andthis role to provide the business key insights that will help drive them forward in the best direction

WHAT WILL YOU GET TO DO?
As the Lead Analyst, you will be joining the wider analytics as well as reporting to the Head of Data

You can expect to:

Work daily with SQL for analysing complex and large datasets, be these financial, sales, marketing, or customer data
Take on new management responsibilities, starting to mentor junior members of the team and longterm manage this team to drive success it's okay if this is new to you A bonus if you've got a platform to jump off.
Query data to find key insights and actionable recommendations
Use Power BI for data visualisation and liaise with stakeholders to share these insights that will go on to influence the business decisions
Take ownership on projects and lead the team from the front by example, while ensuring the junior team members see you exhibit best practice

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR IN YOU

Have previous analytics experience in a similar role
SQL proficiency for working with large volumes of different types of data
Data visualisation experience
Excellent communication for liaising with stakeholders and for working with others
The desire to mentor and manage a team
