Overview**:
Job Purpose:
We are seeking a project test lead to work on the Surety Project, as part of the larger NPAS Programme.
The Test Lead will provide testing expertise to the project, ensure robust test governance and quality gates, and provide leadership across all test phases on the project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and embed project test approach which will support delivery against the defined project outcomes.
- Lead education of business and IT on agreed test strategy and approaches.
- Lead and support test resources on the project.
- Support early UAT sessions in person at the business location (Leicester, UK, and other European cities).
- Project level quality assurance and providing strong test governance of partner/supplier activities.
- Approve, review and provide input into the project test deliverables.
- Produce schedule for all test activities, in alignment with Project Plan.
- Coordinate project test activities across all test phases (functional & nonfunctional).
- Produce project level Test Completion Reports.
- Enforcement of entry/exit quality gates for all test phases within the project.
- Produce project level Testing Status Reports.
- Maintenance of testing related risks and issues at a project level.
- Chair Project Test Team Meetings.
- Initial point of escalation for all testing activities on the project.
Skills and Experience Specification:
- Over 7 years test analysis and management experience. Recent Specialty Insurance experience is vital.
- Experience working with policy administration systems
- Complete understanding of the full policy lifecycle from inception to expiry/renewal/cancellation.
- Knowledge of automation frameworks proven to be suited to workflow driven systems.
- Previous experience of creating, shaping and implementing project level test approaches and driving all test activities across the full lifecycle of a project.
- Familiar with managing both onshore and offshore test teams across multiple time zones.
- Previous experience integrating Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
- Excellent stakeholder communication skills, able to summarize a complicated data set into meaningful progress reports.
- Flexibility to travel to client locations (Leicester, UK, and other European cities) to support early UAT sessions.
- Experience with industry standard test management tools (MS Azure DevOps, MicroFocus Application Lifecycle Management Octane etc.)
- ISEB / ISTQB or equivalent certification in testing
