Description
You will have responsibility for leading the team who work on behalf of Insurers under delegated authorities.

You will help to deliver operational and administrative support to the facilities team, provide leadership and management support and ensure thatall outcomes support the overall strategic objectives of the business unit.


The Role:


  • Responsible for helping to manage, motivate and develop the skills, competencies and knowledge of the Hub Team
  • Ensure that team's skills or knowledge gaps are met with appropriate training and development, so they are able to perform to their maximum capability and fulfil their potential and the requirements of the business
  • Manage the team's day to day delivery of insurer and client service, adhering to standardised policies, procedures and service standards
  • Support the executive team in the delivery of Business Unit strategic plans
  • Support the development of business opportunities through the provision of excellent operational service
  • Enhance the reputation of the Business Unit as a centre of operational excellence both internally and externally
  • Ensure adherence to Group policies, procedures, all regulatory requirements and compliance
  • Create and grow relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • To ensure that performance is in accordance with key performance indicators and where appropriate report exceptions to ensure targets are met
  • Assist with the development and review of processes to ensure efficiency and optimisation of resource capacity
  • Ensure all relevant staff are appropriately trained on the relevant systems, procedures and policies
  • Nurture and maintain a culture of continuous process improvement
  • Monitor and manage Business Unit controls and ensure that each team member understands and operates within their delegated authority
  • Maintain relationships with the Insurers
  • For selected facilities', contribute to monthly performance meetings both internally and with insurer(s) where required
  • To ensure management information is kept up to date within agreed timescales
  • Conduct performance reviews for reports ensuring that objectives are set and development plans established
  • Attend and contribute to the management team weekly meetings
  • Assist with the resolution of queries and ensure appropriate escalation where required

The Requirements:


  • Proven track record of delivering high levels of insurer / client service
  • Experience of managing a team and workflows across multiple locations
  • Experience of working under binding authorities
  • Good general insurance knowledge
  • Experience of process design / reviews
  • Knowledge of the various facilities available to WTW GB Retail and their operation
  • Skilled at building effective relationships at all levels, with associates, insurers and external specialists
  • Strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Experience of working with and adhering to processes and systems to support client service delivery
  • Well organised and accurate, selfmotivated and able to multitask
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to use Word and Excel to intermediate level
  • Understanding and experience of working in partnership with other support functions e.g. HR, Finance, Compliance
  • Preferably educated to 'A' Level or above
  • Preferably holds a CII professional qualification or working towards
