About the role
ENGIE are recruiting for
a
Product Owner based
in Leeds. **This is a Permanent role, working full time Monday to Friday. On offer is a competitive salary, bonus and benefits package.


Key Responsibilities
General

  • To plan and deliver change within the umbrella of Business Transformation Organise and shape backlogs, feeding into dependency trackingTeam Management
  • Direct, lead and manage the following functions in relation to the Product Owned;
  • Applications Development
  • BI Development (ingest and storage of source data into the Common Data Hub)
Assurance. Governance & Control

  • Provide best practise frameworks, measures and tooling that enable and empower efficient delivery of solution change, maintenance and support tasks
  • Act as a member of the technical design authority, ensuring consistent design and architecture within security policy
Strategy

  • Research, propose and change ways of working to align with Energy Supply goals
  • Track Industry change and consequences for the Product owned.
Resource Management

  • Manage resources involved in impacting change, monitoring of the system and release controls.
  • Validate estimates, allocation and planning proposals, resolving conflicts and issues
Finance

  • Contribute to headcount budgets
  • Manage the cost of the tools and technology employed by the teams under direction
Measures

  • Maintain performance metrics for the team and solution under direction; e.g velocity, time to market, quality

Key Requirements

  • A solid experience in Energy Industry software management as a product Owner, ideally in Billing solutions, Customer Relationship Management, Industry Interaction systems for the UK energy Market.
  • Significant leadership experience in an IT discipline with a strong and proven ability in the people management and development of software delivery and development teams, ideally across a range of different industry participants.
  • Experience of the challenges operating within matrix management structures is preferred
  • Previous roles have contained aspects of financial management (e.g. setting budgets, tracking spend)
  • Certifications in the theory surrounding IT delivery (e.g. Agile, SAFe, MoR, Project & Programme management)
  • Experience in the management tools relating to software delivery lifecycle, e.g. Atlassian Suite, Dev Ops etc.
  • Excellent understanding of integration solutions relating to the Market Participation software, including DCC and Smart metering interaction.
  • Excellent knowledge of B2B electricity and gas UK Retail business processes and systems.
  • Excellent understanding of how to deliver and maintain software within Cloud environments (AWS, Azure)
  • Expected to be able to breakdown large complex business challenges into IT packages of work that simplify and derisk delivery
