Our IT Service Desk Team plays a pivotal role in ensuring seamless technical support and service delivery to our diverse community.

As an IT Officer (1st Line Support), you will be an integral part of our IT Service Desk Team, providing on-site technical assistance to our staff, faculty, students, participants and visitors.

You will act as a customer champion, offering specialist advice and support on IT-related issues, and delivering the best possible service with a sincere willingness to help.

This role encompasses providing 1st line technical assistance across PCs, networking and hardware, as well as assisting with project work to achieve team objectives.


Key responsibilities:

  • Provide 1st line support on all IT and communications issues to the School's IT customers via various communication channels.
  • Work within the ITIL framework, ensuring compliance with all policies, processes and procedures.
  • Provide deskside, telephone and remote support, troubleshooting problems and answering queries.
  • Work on a rota basis covering shifts Monday to Friday between 8 am and 6 pm, including Bank Holidays when required.
  • Assist with new hardware and software installation/configuration/upgrades.
You should have prior experience in 1st Line IT Support and proficient customer service skills.

Additionally, you should have technical expertise in Microsoft Windows OS, Mac OS and Microsoft Office 365, along with Active Directory User and Computer administration.
