Why is this role important and how does it fit into the team, department and wider firm?


This is a key role in our Events team and will help to design and deliver both internal and external digital and in-person events, working closely with the wider Client & Marketing (C&M) team including the Business Development team and each of our Target Market Groups (TMGs) to produce high-quality, strategy-focused events.

The Events Executive role is significant to the success of the Events team function in that they are closely and strongly supporting the Events Manager, which enables the Manager to focus on more strategic elements for the team, high-profile and more complex events.


What does the role actually involve?

  • Ensuring that all internal and external live and digital events are successfully delivered and reflect the desired environment in terms of quality and experience
  • Work with the Senior Events Executive and Events Manager on complex large events, regional activities, new event generation and design of the best possible events activities in terms of communication, logistics and the wider event experience
  • Lead the logistics and planning of smaller events from proposal to implementation; including kickoff meetings, debriefs and general organisation
  • Support key events onsite ensuring that all events run smoothly, working with fee earners, stakeholders and suppliers
  • Support with the optimisation of processes around the delivery of events to ensure a seamless service to stakeholders, providing a highquality advisory service to teams/ individuals running their own events
  • Develop and deliver all event support materials including event invitations, events packs and all associated materials
  • Ownership of the post events analysis process for all events, including collation, evaluation and updating the Events Manager, Business Development team and Partners on feedback to help aid evaluation of ROI
  • Monitor the event website and update the digital team with any updates
  • Monitor the event pages on the firm's intranet pages and update the content as necessary
  • Work closely with the rest of the Client & Marketing team to ensure events activity is joined up with other marketing channels where necessary
  • Liaise with Front of House (FOH) teams and support them in their management of the smaller events, and ensure standards and systems are being upheld
  • Oversee the supply of events merchandise and marketing materials and delegate any requests to the Events Assistant.
  • Delegate simple event admin tasks to the Event Assistant and any business admin requests to Shared Services.
  • Keep up to date with developments in the event industry (in particular around event technology)
  • Support with the continuous improvement of suppliers and consumables
  • Ensure Browne Jacobson brand standards are applied at all times, in order to create a positive impression
  • Proactively seek customer/client feedback with a view to ensuring 5 star service
  • Provide cover for the FOH Team L
