IMMEDIATE START TEMPOARY CONTRACTS

CLASSROOM ASSISTANTS - EAST BELFAST
Our Client is seeking to recruit
Classroom Assistants to work within the school on a temporary ongoing basis.

The client would consider students on a gap year for example, experience of working with young people even in a voluntary role.

Duties and Responsibilities

To meet the pupil at reception each morning and leave them to their transport each afternoon
To accompany the pupil from classroom to classroom
To accompany the pupil on all educational visits and outings
To supervise where necessary during lunch breaks and home time

Qualifications and Experience

Essential

GCSE Maths and English Grade C or above or equivalent required
Students on a gap year, with any experience of working with young people even in a voluntary role would be acceptable
or
At least 1 years previous experience of working within a classroom environment would be advantageous
Experience of working with a child/ young adult on a 121 basis
Experience of working and supporting children young adults with special needs and/ or disabilities woudl be advantageous
Experience with dealing with behavioral issues
Great communication skills written and verbal, speak fluent English and has the ability to build communication development.
Friendly and helpful manner

**Clearance: An AccessNI Enhanced Disclosure will be required

Other Information:

Hours:
Monday to Friday 9am - 3.30pm (28.75hrs per week)

Salary £9.50 per hour plus accrued holiday pay

Contract:

This position is on a temporary ongoing basis with a view of possibly going permanent at the end of the school year.
