I have an exceptional opportunity for a Programme Benefits Manager to be part of the company who are designing, developing and mobilising high speed service operations and associated conventional services.

Their goal is to maximise the benefits of the significantinvestment in high speed infrastructure.


Responsibilities

  • You will manage the development and implementation of an integrated approach to benefits management, Benefits Management Strategy and Framework, working closely across the whole programme to identify, plan, realise, review and report on Programme benefits.
  • You will coach and support colleagues on all aspects of embedding the Benefits Management activities within the Programme delivery lifecycle.
  • Be responsible for stakeholder engagement and communications in relation to Benefits Management creating and maintaining effective relationships with all relevant stakeholders to deliver the benefits outcomes.
  • Ensure the Benefits Management Framework, processes and responsibilities are understood across the team, facilitating a Benefits awareness culture.
  • Collaborate across all partnerships to facilitate the realisation of benefits and strategic goals.
  • Develop and implement a clear reporting framework for benefits, that enable the measurement, monitoring and reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs) in relation to benefits, clearly identifying the impact of any changes, and providing clear reportsfor internal and external forum and audiences as required.
  • Support coherence checks ensuring that programme outputs align with configuration state requirements and realise strategic goals.
  • Develop, analyse and report on key programme information in relation to Benefits for the management team.
  • Collaborate across the development and implementation of standards, processes, strategy and systems to deliver continuous improvement in PMO approaches.

Specific knowledge and Skills required

  • Significant Business Change management experience.
  • Significant experience in benefits management and methodology.
  • Highly competent in dealing with financial and other metrics to provide clear analysis supporting decision making, tracking progress in benefits realisation and identifying key risks and dependencies
  • Negotiating and influencing skills
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent level of experience.

Relevant experience

  • Solid experience of delivering benefits management and realisation plans across large complex government programmes
  • Experience of business process change and methodology
  • Experience dealing with stakeholders at all levels of a large organisation
  • Qualification in Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) and PRINCE2 project management
  • Qualification in benefits management (desirable)
  • Qualification in Change management (desirable)


This position offers hybrid working 2/3 days in the office (London) and that some travel will be required to the Birmingham and Manchester offices.
