Investigo are currently partnering a leading and instantly recognisable brand to help recruit a Head of Financial Reporting on a permanent basis due to internal promotion and development.


As Head of Financial Reporting, you will be accountable for all aspects of external financial reporting under IFRS & FRS 101.

This will include leading on the preparation and consolidation of statutory accounts, leading a team of financial professionalsresponsible for preparing all subsidiary statutory accounts, ownership of relationship with external auditors on year end accounts, business partnering across all seniorities and balance sheet reconciliations across Group Finance.


What will I be doing?

  • Lead preparation of consolidated statutory accounts for the Group.
  • This includes responsibility for the year end annual report and coordination across company secretarial, risk and HR teams as well as responsibility for external KPI reporting ensuring that key stakeholders including the CFO and the Business Finance Directorsare managed throughout the process.
  • Assistance in preparation of bondholder presentation and Q&A pack. This involves working directly with the CEO and CFO to agree the format and content of these documents.
  • Lead the team preparing all of the businesses subsidiary statutory accounts and take responsibility for project management including managing the audit of these subsidiaries.
  • Lead relationship with the external auditors on year end audits, ensure requests and timelines are communicated across finance and work with divisional financial controllers to ensure audit requests are completed on time.
  • Responding to financial accounting queries from across the Group as well as being responsible for accounting papers for group accounting matters (e.g. debt, pensions) for review by the CFO.
  • Responsible for overall delivery of month end procedures and forecasting.
  • Responsibility for balance sheet reconciliations within group finance.
  • Review of regulatory submission before signoff by CFO adhering to the documented review processes. Give appropriate challenge to numbers presented by preparers.
  • Key point of contact for business finance teams and CFO, deputising.

Skills/Requirements:


  • ACA Qualified accountant from ideally a top 6 practice
  • Minimum of 510 years post qualified experience
