Description
We are a long-established residential care home situated in Bristol. We care for 30 older people.


We are seeking to recruit a home manager to take over from our current manager who is retiring after 7 years in post.


Duties and Responsibilities
As home manager you will be responsible for the day to day running of our service.

You will work closely with our established staff team to ensure that all the care needs of our residents are met and we maintain our excellent reputation in our locality.

The position of home manager is key in any care home so this is an important and responsible role.

We will give you daily admin support plus the backup of experienced managers at our sister care homes and you will benefit from a 1 month handover from our retiringmanager.


  • You will be responsible for overseeing and developing the care we offer.
  • You will be the focal point for contact with residents, relatives and healthcare professionals.

Experience and qualifications required:


  • You must have worked at a senior level in a similar service for at least 2 years, either as a registered manager, a deputy manager or a senior team leader or unit lead.
  • You must be familiar with writing and reviewing care plans, DoLs and Safeguarding processes.
  • You must have a reasonable understanding of the legislation relating to care homes as set by the CQC.
  • You will likely have a level 3 or higher qualification in Health and Social care
  • If you don't already have a relevant L5 qualification or equivalent we will ask you to enrol on a suitable course within 6 months
    which we will fund in full.

As a Care Home Manager we will offer you:

  • Nominal 40 hours p.w. Monday
  • Friday (but flexibility is required around shift patterns to suit prevailing occupancy and staffing requirements).
  • A comprehensive induction and ongoing fully funded training
  • 30 days annual leave (including Bank Holidays) rising to 33 days after 3 years
  • Salary in excess of £40,000pa (with bonus)
