As a Supply Chain Planner, you will support the Industrial Supply Chain function in managing the production plan to optimise capacity/cost and service across a portfolio of products, as well as perform administration and reporting duties.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for planning the supply chain for a portfolio of products, managing the production plan around the availability of materials and capacity to achieve the ontime delivery to target
- Manage the production plan for a portfolio of products to achieve optimum cost/service with a particular emphasis on delivery
- Support cost reduction or other CI activities as required
- Provide timely and accurate reporting on matters relating to their portfolio of products in liaison with the Customer, PALL sales and the internal supply chain/purchasing
- Maintain absolute compliance to policies and procedures applicable to the role
- Manage the level of inventory for their area to achieve best possible stock turns whilst maintaining high delivery performance
- Manage changes in response to Engineering/Design requirements including New Product Introduction
- The role requires an ability to work within an established team, and participate in other sourcing/supply chain exercises that may arise
- Responsible for monitoring and evaluating performance, and aligning corrective actions as required
- Maintain a relationship with key customers supporting sales as required
- Take strategic responsibility for managing the supply chain in response to global changes in demand
- Support the Materials Management function in identifying root cause of supply chain failures and designing effective countermeasures to prevent reoccurrence
Requirements:
- Educated to 'A' level, or equivalent or qualified by experience
- Membership of relevant professional body
- Excellent planning skills required, based upon a solid professional ethical foundation
- Supporting new business proposals / opportunities with supplier technological inputs / information
- Has a solid understanding of Material Planning Requirements (MPR) systems
- Possesses excellent computer skills including MS Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint
- Strong analytical skills to support / drive business decisions and performance
- A selfmotivated, dynamic, systems thinking professional with the ability to organise and plan to deliver the required business goals and objectives
- Must be able to professionally interact with internal and external contacts at all levels
- Ability to facilitate and effectively hold meetings and training sessions as required
