dnata Catering UK, the world's largest inflight caterer has an exciting opportunity for a HR Advisor to join our team, based in our state of the art facility at London Gatwick.


What's the purpose of role:


Reporting into the HR Business Partner you will be based at our office in London Gatwick with occasional travel to our other sites across the UK.

The HR Advisor will be supporting the South HR Business Partner who looks after our London Luton, London Stansted,London Gatwick, Cardiff and Bristol units.

Working within the HR Team, you will be responsible for advising business managers on employment relations matters in adherence to policies and procedures; thereby ensuring the mitigation of risk.

This role is a part time and offers 3 days a week, 24 hours per week.

What you'll be doing:


  • Act as first point of contact for all ER activity, escalating matters to HR Business Partner as appropriate.
  • Provide advice and guidance to internal managers on the following processes: misconduct (investigations/hearings), long and short term absence management, grievances, performance concerns and flexible working requests.
  • Act as a point of liaison and support for the HR & Payroll team in relation to pay matters linked to terms, conditions and variations to employment
  • Ensure compliance and adherence to legislative, HR and company standards, agreed policies and processes.
  • Support Business Partners in the implementation of agreed HR procedures and feedback to HR Business Partner on nonconformances.
  • Attain ER data from central systems so that Business Partners can finalise reports.
  • Maintain ER databases as required.
  • Ensure all information required is presented accurately, clearly and within agreed deadlines.
  • Develop customer relationships, establishing key contacts and offering an advisory approach to ensure issues and concerns are dealt with effectively.

What you'll have:


  • A positive, cando approach and capable of working as part of a team with the ability to quickly build and maintain professional relationships
  • Previous experience of working in a similar HR role, advising managers in employee relations activities (particularly absence management, disciplinary and grievance)Passionate for all aspects of HR and can demonstrate uptodate knowledge of employmentlegislation
  • Strong IT skills (including Word, Excel and PowerPoint)Ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to solve problems and make suggestions/ recommendations, with a rightfirsttime attitude
  • Flexibility to travel to other sites across the country
  • Preference for CIPD qualified or working towards a qualification
