Technical WriterPrincipal Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with internal engineering and development teams to obtain an indepth understanding of the product and the documentation requirements
- Create and maintain technical documentation that is accurate, comprehensive, and tailored to both technical and nontechnical audiences
- Write, edit, and publish content for use on wikis such as Confluence and use of selfdocumenting code tools like Sphinx
- Structure and organize documentation effectively to enhance readability, discoverability, and ease of collaborative editing
- Proactively identify and address documentation gaps or areas for improvement, and hold teams accountable
- Use generative AI tools to accelerate the documentation process when appropriate
- Assist in developing documentation strategies and workflow improvements
- Ensure documentation complies with internal standards and guidelines
Qualifications and Skills Desired:
- Proven experience as a Technical Writer in the tech industry.
- Familiarity with technology infrastructure including cloud, networking, and Linux platforms.
- Experience in financial services is a plus
- Proficiency with wikistyle documentation and linking and structuring strategies.
- Knowledge of HTML and other markup languages
- Experience with version control (git) and workflows is a plus
- Strong organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail and quality.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in leveraging generative AI for creating documentation including prompt engineering
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment, handling multiple tasks.
- Able to work collaboratively with diverse teams, including tech and nontech members.
- Strong problemsolving skills and a proactive attitude.
