The opportunity could be of interest to an existing finance manager or someone who has the ability and drive to move into the role over the next 12/18 months.

Key duties and responsibilities to include:

Acting as an interface between the accounts staff and the Finance Director
Effective day to day running of the accounts team and reporting into the Finance Director
Production and review of monthly management accounts and related commentary
Safely and slowly bringing in new accountingwide processes and controls
Overseeing purchase and sales ledger
Mentoring and developing an accounts team of 4 staff

My client is keen to recruit a technically sound SME accountant who is modern in approach (but not reckless) and can offer sound counsel to both the Finance Director and finance team.
