1.
Purpose

To provide materials support for production to ensure all the ancillary hoppers / bins are kept supplied with the correct grade and quantity of material.

Ensure high standards of safety, materials best practice, housekeeping and due diligence are paramount. Provide consistent and reliable material changes (including detailed cleaning of dryers and ancillary equipment in-line with standard operating procedures.


2.
Key accountabilities

• Material topup and changeover for a range of injection moulding presses in a safe, clean, efficient and an effective manner adhering to standard operating procedures.
• Material preparation including dryers to ensure good quality material is supplied to machines without problems, to minimize downtime and production startup issues.
• Minimize contamination, spillages, and overmixing material to reduce internal scrap.
• Safe transport, labelling, segregation, and storage of materials.
• Identify any material defects as soon as possible and provide effective communication to Production Shift Managers and other Production staff as required.
• Establish good working relationships with production, maintenance, tool fitters, tool setters and other key members of the factory team. To adhere to all deadlines set by Manufacturing Manager.

Ÿ Excellent standards of material handling with right first-time performance.

Ÿ Excellent understanding and attitude to safe working practices and 6S housekeeping.

Ÿ A good positive attitude, be responsive, flexible and resolve problems quickly.

Ÿ Ability to work on own initiative and plan material changes with limited supervision.

Ÿ Ability to following standard material handling and changeover procedures.

£10.74-£11.50 per hour
