The company has more recently expanded to Europe with a clinic in Denmark patients from across Europe. We are looking for a dynamic Pharmacy Assistant to join our clinic based in St Paul's, London.


The Role


To actively participate in, supervise and maintain the highest standard of care for couples, visitors and staff as required by the clinic, the HFEA and Healthcare Commission.

To contribute to the general management of the clinic through membership of the clinical team


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supporting the nursing team in the daytoday running of the clinical pharmacy service
  • Dealing with client's pharmacy queries undergoing fertility treatment, answering questions, giving advice and support as required. Under the direction of the Senior Nurse.
  • Liaising with the Head of Nursing and nursing team over stock control and medicine management
  • Ensure all drugs are labelled correctly as per required with Create Labels.
  • Ensure all medications are checked and signed off with the Registered Nurse before dispensing medication to the patient
  • Offer advice and support to patients and the team as required.
  • Ensure all prescriptions are signed and patient checks are completed. Checking their name DOB, patient number and any allergies.
  • Ensuring medicine stock is topped up and ordered as required.
  • Ensuring drug audits and drug counts are completed monthly for the Finance Department.
  • Keep accurate records of all medicines dispensed
  • Ordering medicine stock items as necessary
  • Responsible for the upkeep and ordering of the theatre medicine supplies
  • Maintaining a safe environment for clients and staff
  • Maintaining confidentiality at all times as per HFEA and Health Service Guidelines
  • Inputting of data electronically to maintain records for the HFEA.
  • Stocking up the medicine fridges and cupboard daily as required.
  • Ensuring daily drug audits are carried and drug counts in the nursing /pharmacy office.
  • Ensuring fridge temperatures have been checked daily with minimum and maximum temperatures recorded on the chart
  • Maintaining a clean environment for all medicines management
  • Ensuring stock rotation of medicines are carried out.
  • Assist with chaperoning scans with the Doctors as required
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times

Education and Training

  • To participate in teaching, training and support of nursing staff as directed by senior staff

Salary:
£25,000.00 per year
