Trainee Teaching Assistants required in Quedgeley, Gloucester

Are you looking to become a Teaching Assistant in a lovely primary school in the Southern edge of Gloucester?

Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for dedicated and flexible individuals who are considering a career as a Teaching Assistant to join us and train to become a Teaching Assistant and work in Primary schools in the Quedgeley area ASAP.

These positions are to cover additional workload in local primary schools and will be assisting students with 121 catch up and general pastoral support.

This lovely cluster group of primary schools in the Southern edge of Gloucester are looking for Trainee Teaching Assistants who can get stuck in, support the teachers and also have the ability to build relationships with the students, engage them in their learning and offer pastoral support when required.

You will be confident, enthusiastic, friendly, a great communicator and be educated to GCSE level with grades of A-C) in English and in Maths. The rate of pay is from £76 per day starting immediately after Easter break 2023.

We have Primary and Secondary Academies and schools dotted all over Gloucestershire and so we will be able to place you in schools near to home if you do not drive.

Tradewind will offer you full training and lots of CPD (continued professional development) to get you confident enough to start your journey of working in schools.

Previous experience of working with children or young people is advantageous but not essential. What is essential is that you are energetic, enthusiastic, engaging, fun, a great communicator, have a genuine interest in working with children and young people, and are committed to learning how to become an excellent teaching assistant

To join us and be successful in this role as a Primary Trainee Teaching assistant in Gloucester, you will need to:

Have experience of working with young people aged 4-11 (preferable but not essential if you have the right attitude and personality).
Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
Legal right to work in the UK
