Stanton House are partnering with a global services business to hire a Senior Commercial Analyst to join their Commercial Team.

This is an opportunity to work in a diverse organisation, in a highly commercial role and to gain a broad range of experiencein a bidding environment.

You will be responsible for providing dedicated, high quality financial modelling and commercial bid resource across all Business Units within the UK & Europe division, along with supporting the wider business with expert financialmodelling skills.

Day to day this means working with bid teams to develop and populate accurate cost models, active challenging of technical inputs and working to both satisfy internal governance requirements and support analysis of optimal pricing solutionsthat will be provided to customers alongside the proposed technical solution for outsourced Contracts.


The role is well suited to an ACA qualified accountant from the Big4 looking to make a move into industry into a highly commercial role, or a CIMA qualified accountant who has worked in a commercial Finance role previously.


To successfully deliver in the profile position, you will need to have:

  • Newly qualified accountant (ACA or CIMA)
  • Aptitude to develop expert bid financial modelling ability
  • Aptitude to develop expert Excel skills
  • Ability to interpret financial information to aid decision making
  • Capacity to handle demanding and fluctuating workload
  • Thoroughness and attention to detail with a steadiness under pressure
  • Strong communication skills to work with a range of people across the business

A little more information about the role:

  • Work within bid teams to deliver financial models, costs, price and detailed scenario analysis to influence business strategy decisions within the bid
  • Provide expert modelling as required throughout the business e.g. supporting customer negotiations, operating forecasts.
  • Provide support to the bid governance process, identifying financial and commercial risks for discussion
  • Play a role in ensuring compliance across the UK with Group policy and standards relating to financial modelling
  • Assist in developing data manipulation capability beyond the modelling of financial data, in order to support emerging commercial propositions across the business
  • Assist in the delivery of a cost effective model audit capability, and the implementation of a suite of preaudited financial models for wider use across the contract base
