Maintenance Engineer - Days & Lates

£40,000 - £42,000


Alecto Recruitment is looking to hear from experienced Maintenance Engineers and Fitters based in or near to Leicestershire interested in a full time, permanent position at a busy processing facility.


Working a pattern of rotating lates/days shifts, you will carry out mechanical engineering works to ensure the efficient running of the facility and achieve processing targets.


Hours:


Shift 1:
09:00-18:00 Monday

  • Friday
06:00-11:00 Saturdays

Shift 2

07:00-16:00 Monday

  • Friday

Role

  • Working on a wide range of equipment in a team of skilled and highly experienced engineers, you will be required to carry out a range of varied tasks which include (but not exhaustive):
  • Carry out scheduled, servicing and inspections to a high standard.
  • Reactive maintenance.
  • Fault diagnosis.
  • Welding and fabricating.
  • Attend internal and external training.
  • Complete all paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.

Applicant Profile

  • Relevant engineering experience in an engineering environment.
  • Full driving licence.
  • Excellent working knowledge of mechanical machinery.
  • Ability to diagnose & rectify faults.
  • Positive "can do" attitude.
  • The ability to work within standard repair times.
  • Basic hydraulic knowledge.
  • Good understanding of electrics.
  • Good Health & Safety Awareness.
  • Must be able to work on their own initiative with a flexible approach to meeting the needs of the customer.
  • Willingness to undertake further development.
  • Previous experience of working on bailing press machines.
  • Conscientious nature and attention to detail.
  • Flexible approach to working environment and/or hours.
