Description

We are looking to recruit a proactive and enthusiastic Industrial Cleaner / Hygiene Assistant to join our team in a busy food production factory on a long-term basis, there are opportunities for permanent contracts with the company for the right person.

Predominantly based on the factory floor and surrounding environment, the Hygiene Assistant will assist the Cleaning and Hygiene Supervisor to create and maintain a clean, safe and hygienic environment, to the standard required, meeting both the Company andits customer standards.

Teamwork and good communication skills are essential, but you must also be able to work using your own initiative.

Duties to include:

  • Assist in ensuring that routine cleaning and hygiene procedures are carried out so that standards of the factory and other required areas are met.
  • Prepare relevant areas for cleaning.
  • Clean floors, walls, surfaces, windows, ceilings and staircases as required.
  • Empty waste bins, bagging up rubbish and making sure it is disposed of correctly.
  • Placing warning signs to alert colleagues to potential hazards such as wet floors and spillage.
  • Help manage and control the stock of laundry, cleaning chemicals and cleaning equipment
  • Emptying and cleaning factory equipment and machinery as required.
  • Undertake other duties as required.
This is working 39 hours per week, with working hours being:

Saturday: 06:00 - 16:00

Sunday: 06:00 - 14:00

Monday: 08:00 - 16:00

Tuesday: 08:00 - 16:00

Wednesday: 08:00 - 13:00

The hourly rate of pay is £10.90/hour.
