At Nathaniel Cars, we have been helping customers buy, sell, and maintain their cars in South Wales and further afield for over 40 years.

Nathaniel's are the main dealer for MG, Fiat, Abarth, Fiat Professional and also stock over 200 used cars, of all makes and models.

However, not only do we sell cars, but we also have a servicing department, a parts department, a tyrebay and a team of smart repair specialists.


Our expanding finance team is looking for a Purchase Ledger Assistant, the purpose of this role is to take responsibility for the payable's ledger.

This is a very busy and challenging role, essential within the finance function.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all deadlines relating to supplier terms and conditions are achieved.
  • Ensure invoicerelated queries are managed efficiently and effectively.
  • Monthly supplier statement reconciliations and ledger management.
  • Raising weekly and adhoc supplier payments.
  • Checking customer debit notes are correct and agreed.
  • Managing manufacturer accounts
  • Ensuring valid customer deductions are claimed back from suppliers.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a payable's ledger environment preferred but not essential.
  • Solid Excel experience essential.
  • Previous experience of working in an account's environment.

Day to Day Duties:

  • Verify the information on a high volume of invoices are correct before processing.
  • Allocating cost centres and expense codes accordingly.
  • Correctly processing Vat on invoices.
  • Entering Stock/Non-Stock invoices into database for payment.
  • Chasing invoice approvals within the business.
  • Reconciling supplier statements and raising queries as necessary.
  • Prepare weekly / monthly payment runs.
  • Adhoc duties to support the business.
  • Experienced with matching stock GRN's to invoices and resolving differences
