You will play a vital role within the Data Team and wider Income Generation department, reporting into our Data Manager and working alongside a second Senior Data Officer and a Data Officer.

Person Specification_**We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced team member to work in support of a Data Manager and carry out critical tasks on our internal database and in partnership with external providers to support our ever-growing portfolio of income generation activities.

This role will be particularly critical to data selection and analysis used across marketing and income generation activities but tasks are not limited to this.

You will be joining a busy department, working with and supporting a majority of teams across the organisation.

  • Experience of working with CRM databases and carrying out queries, imports and exports
  • Experience or knowledge of the intricacies of data selections and segmentations for individual giving appeals
  • A methodical approach and excellent eye for spotting inaccuracies
  • An awareness of or consideration for the interdependencies that may occur when choosing how to select and crossreference data
  • Good time management skills and drive to carry out tasks quickly and accurately to meet set deadlines
  • A team player looking to work in collaboration with colleagues using a problemsolving approach to deliver outputs and learn new skills
  • An experienced Data Officer who is looking for progression and development to the role of Data Manager in the future.

Role Responsibilities:

To support the Data Manager through the delegation of complex tasks which may include:

  • Undertaking data selections to meet the requirements of data briefs provided by colleagues across Income Generation, including those for the Individual Giving campaigns
  • To deputise for the Data Manager by offering advice and support to a Data Officer and wider colleagues at times that the Data Manager is on leave or unavailable.
  • Undertaking imports and exports of large data sets weekly and as required.
  • Undertaking regular data cleaning and identify any irregularities to be flagged and corrected.
  • Identifying and implementing new data solutions to identified issues, and participating in both the backend data cleaning and front end staff training and guidance to achieve this.
  • Setting up of coding and new procedures involving the database to support fundraising activity.
  • Working with third party suppliers on data processes and working with the Data Manager to flag and resolve any issues.
  • To work collaboratively across the department and wider organisation to promote and support the accurate use of the CRM database both in terms of colleagues' data inputting and exporting in a way that supports the data strategy, compliance and data integrity.
  • To carry out data analysis and insight work as required with training provided
  • To work in collaboration with the Data Protection Officer to uphold data protection compliance across all areas of your work.
This role is offered at 37.5 hours a week with hybrid working between home and our Rugby head office.

This role will require a basic DBS check
