Term time only Monday to Friday 8.45am -3.15pm

We are looking to recruit an experienced SEND learning support assistant to join our school family in the lower key stage 2 area.

You will need to be able to demonstrate your role as a 'facilitator of learning', utilising good observational skills enabling you to learn the behavioural patterns of the pupil, appreciating that we all learn in different ways and with the correct guidance and support, we can achieve our potential.
You will need to be a team player, dedicated, understanding, highly motivated and be able to work under the supervision and guidance of teaching staff.
You will need to have outstanding skills, expertise and experience of a variety of learning and behavioural needs such as; Demand Avoidance, Team Teach and support strategies but also be able to adapt using initiative to the ever changing and specific needs of the pupil you will be working with.
You will need to show a willingness to contribute to the planning of activities as well as the ability to follow and adapt support plans to meet the requirements of the pupil.
You will need excellent communication skills to effectively engage pupils in their learning and to also share appropriate and purposeful feedback with staff to support learning and high levels of emotional resilience.
The role would be to work under the direct supervision and guidance of an experienced class teacher and SENDCo.
