Public Protection Partnership (PPP) is a shared environmental heath, licensing and trading standards service for Bracknell Forest and West Berkshire in Berkshire.

The priority of Licensing is very high on the agenda within PPP and in the respective Councils.

To this end a vacancy for an Applications Technical Officer has become available to replace an existing team member so that we can, so that we can continue the great work we do.


The role of this post is to deal with Licensing Applications across the wide remit of Licensing which includes alcohol and entertainment, gambling premises, taxi and private hire trades and animal licences as well as other licence regimes and permits.


Main Duties and Responsibilities

Qualification and Experience
5 GCSE including English and Maths at grade C or above, or equivalent.

Good Microsoft knowledge.

You must also have recent suitable experience of:

  • Experience of working in a fast-moving customer focused environment.
  • Experience of dealing with customer enquiries
  • Good communication skill and the ability to prioritise workloads and work to tight timescales
  • Working with computers and an understanding of information technology.
