We are really excited to be offering a fantastic opportunity for new staff to step in to the NHS as a Health Care Apprentice.
This post will not be eligible for a certificate of sponsorship
There is no option for this to be virtual and will take place on Saturday 8th July 2023.
Kettering General Hospital is offering a number of positions for those who can demonstrate that they have a strong commitment to learning, and can demonstrate that they have a caring and compassionate approach in supporting others.
In addition, you will be required to exhibit excellent communication skills both verbally and written, and the ability to act with professionalism at all times.
You will learn how to;- Support individuals with their day to day activities of daily living including; eating and drinking, personal care, and mobility and promote independence.
- Enable and assist individuals to maintain their personal hygiene.
- Contribute to the safe movement and handling of people, using equipment and ensure service user safety and comfort.
- Perform clinical tasks which will include body temperature, height, weight, blood pressure, pulse, urinary output, breathing rate, oxygen saturation, and blood sugar levels.
- Provide hands on care and support to people who are in the end of life stage as a result of having a life limiting illness.
- Promote physical independence, mental health and wellbeing, providing opportunistic brief advice on health and wellbeing in line with 'Making Every Contact Count' principles.
