Description

Read and interpret drawings to produce panels, electrical control cabinets and assemblies for our equipment and systems at our manufacturing site. Attend customer sites worldwide to ensure the effective installation and ongoing after-sales servicing of customer systems.

Duties:_

  • Read and interpret design drawings and work as part of the team to manufacture and assemble the various components of the casting system and equipment required by the customer.
  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams and any associated diagrams to be able to produce panels and other electrical assemblies from these drawings.
  • Construct panels for the control cabinets and assemblies in line with customer requirements and industry standards.
  • Undertake testing, faultfinding and diagnostics of electrical equipment and problem solve any issues.
  • Help assemble equipment/machinery and mutlitask so tasks are completed efficiently.
  • Perform works as assigned within designated timescale, efficiently, and to the required standard to ensure standards conform to KEA Automation and customer specifications.
  • Accept and unload any delivery of raw material, manufacturing consumables, parts line with company procedure and in a safe manner.
  • Report progress daily, notifying office based colleagues in a timely manner of any issues which require tools/associated production materials, consumables etc. to be ordered so colleagues can ensure they are available for use when required.
  • Complete Job cards, and note down production times for each process, downtime/lost production time, and other details required by the business to assist with internal costings, pricing etc.
  • Clean and maintain the hand/power tools, machinery and equipment being used, to ensure optimum use.
  • Clean and maintain working area and environment to a tidy and safe standard, especially if on site at customer premises.
  • Attend domestic and international customer sites to install and service systems.

Qualifications & Skills_

  • Relevant electrical qualifications (City & Guilds, ONC or HNC )
  • Experience of electrical equipment assembly, electrical wiring and building control panels;
- working with electrical systems, fault-finding and diagnostics skills.
- utilising hand tools, and power tools.
- full and clean driving licence and passport to allow to travel to customer sites, both domestically and worldwide.

  • An FLT driving licence would also be an advantage
