Nursery Room Leader,

Salary:
TBC

  • We are working with a Nursery in Dagenham Essex who are looking for an exceptional Passionate Room Leader to join their setting full time.
  • This Setting opens for 51 weeks a year,
  • Monday to Friday working shifts between the hour of 07.00 to 18.00
    With management support, you will be responsible for ensuring the best care, practice and education for our children and our colleagues.

Roles and Responsibilities:


  • Supervising or positively leading a group of colleague providing a friendly, caring and stimulating environment in order to encourage and develop children in our care.
  • Up to date knowledge on EYFS and Safeguarding.
  • To ensure all daily routines are adhered to and records kept up
- to -date.

  • Ensure that records are properly maintained e.g. daily register, accident records, risk assessment, daily safety checks, menu and dietary list, first aid box maintained regularly, home accident forms, registers
  • To maintain staffing ratio in the room.
  • To oversee the planning and implementation of activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework.

Nursery Room Leader - Third in Charge Requirements:

  • Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent /above
  • Recent experience as a Room Leader / Assistant Room Leader or Senior Practitioner / Third in Charge
  • Understanding of the Ofsted inspection framework
  • Experience of leading a team and dealing with staff issues
  • Comprehensive understanding of health and safety requirements
  • Reliable and punctual.
