A 19-bed residential home is looking for a dedicated and experienced, empathetic, and friendly
Care Assistant (Nights) to join their team.


About the benefits of the role:

  • Competitive pay starts at £11.00 an hour on weekdays and £11.25 on weekends.
  • Increment of £0.10 for NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care
  • Increment of £0.15 for NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care
  • Fulltime contracts are available.
  • A bonus of £2.00 an hour for exceeding contracted hours.

  • 20 pence per mile fuel allowance if the journey is further than 15 miles.

Experience/Qualifications required:


  • Knowledge of an elderly care setting and the needs of older people.
  • Minimum 1 year of care assistant experience.
  • Experience in working in a customerfocused environment.
  • Experience in delivering handson care.
  • NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or above desired.

Key Accountabilities

  • Preparing breakfast and distributing it to clients
  • Cleaning the care home.
  • Checking residents on a regular basis
  • Washing and ironing linen
  • Completing night report before going off duty
  • Checking the building is locked and all windows are closed
  • Attending staff meetings when they are held
  • Attending specified training sessions
  • On call 2 days a week (must be close enough to return to work within 45 minutes).
