  • If you are, an An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Social Care Officer within Parkdale Care Home, a service for older people providing permanent and respite care.

  • As a Social Care Officer you will have the opportunity to put the residents care and wellbeing at the heart of everything you do. Promoting independence, dignity and quality of life at all times in a person centred caring and supportive environment.
Do you have an understanding of what is needed to support meet the personal outcomes of individuals?

  • You will have the opportunity to support and assist residents with daily activities, providing both physical and emotional support, and assisting with personal care as needed. You will be required to administer medication, assist with developing outcome focused support plans, and carry out reviews to achieve desired outcomes.
Can you be flexible and be available at the key times to support residents?

  • We operate a 12 hour shift pattern and on a 6 week rota pattern which includes 2 weeks of nightshift. This can be flexible and negotiated at interview stage.

The Individual:

No entry requirement in terms of qualification.

However, you are required and will be supported to work towards SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare at SCQF level 7 (was SVQ3).

You will be required to register with the SSSC as a Practitioner in a Care Home service, this will need to be done within 6 months of any start date.
