Description

We are working with our client to find a stores operative to join a thriving team. Our client is a electronics assembly manufacturer based in Slinfold.
The hours of work are 8.30am - 5.15pm, Monday to Friday, paid at £10.50ph.

Due to the location of this role, we are unable to consider anyone without their own transport as no public transport route operate in the area of this role.

Attention to detail and high level of accuracy essential.
Previous experience of stores work within an engineering/small batch assembly environment preferred, although not essential, as full training will be provided.
Ideally computer literate, although training will be provided.
Must be reliable and an excellent timekeeper.
Good standard of general education with good written and oral communication skills.
Adaptable and flexible, always striving to raise the Company's highquality standards with a positive, 'cando' attitude.

Key areas of responsibility:

Ensuring that parts are neatly located & kitted in conditions that will not be detrimental to their performance or value.
Counting and booking in parts to accurately maintain stock records on the Company's computer system.
Piece part kitting for assembly from stores.
Operation of electronic scales for counting kitted items.
Entering transactions onto the company computer system, including managing stock locations, booking works orders into stock, subassemblies against appropriate work orders on batch traveller paperwork, in accordance with relevant Company work instructions.
Packing and labelling finished connectors and components to agreed methods to ensure adequate protection.
Greeting delivery drivers and signing for parts at Goods Inwards.
To undertake any other appropriate task, within known capability, as requested by the Stores Controller. (This could include undertaking related tasks in any of the Company's Stores and/or Assembly areas).
