Description
Account Executive - Transportation, Haulage & Distribution Practice

Recognised as market-leaders for over 25 years, this global broker's Transportation, Haulage & Distribution Practice has a proud history of delivering bespoke solutions to businesses of all shapes and sizes; smaller community transport organisations of charitable status, privately-owned 100+ vehicle hauliers operating nationally, or publicly-listed freight forwarders moving goods across the globe.

This is complex niche, where claims can have catastrophic consequences, and with many clients operating at tight margins.

This Practice's expert team knows the niche intimately, has longstanding relationships with a wide panel of insurers, boasts its own inhouse Claims & Risk Management teams, and offers a range of bespoke solutions to help clients achieve comprehensive cover at competitive premiums.

As an Account Executive, you will be granted a great deal of autonomy in developing a portfolio of clients from across the sector - for example you may wish to focus solely on Bus & Coach business, charitable organisations, or those larger corporates with £1M+ premiums.

Alternatively, you may choose to target business locally, or prefer to have a more national remit.

You will also benefit from a high degree of marketing support, including a database of warm, qualified leads (often with comprehensive information regarding the holding broker, premium size, key personnel, claims history etc).

You will be responsible for leading the client service programme for your clients, but will benefit from the support (assistance with renewals, MTA's, report writing and admin' etc) of a dedicated Team of Account Handlers and Brokers based at the Transportation, Haulage & Distribution Practice's Head Office.

You must have a high degree of knowledge of the nuances of the sector, and confidence in your ability to establish yourself as an industry expert; for example, representing the brokerage at events, or producing 'thought leadership' pieces to be broadcast internally or in the industry press.

You should also have a sound level of technical knowledge and experience of all relevant commercial covers, together with excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to network internally and externally.

This role can be 99% home-based, with only the occasional visit to the Practice's Head Office required.

However, you are of course welcome to work from one of any of a number of Regional Offices as and when you desire.
