Description

We are looking for a full time person to train on all aspects of AP/ AR. Accounts experience is preferred but current AAT studiers without experience will be considered. This would suit an ambitious individual looking to progress into an accounts role.

The below is a basic overview of responsibilities of the role that may be required, and will be shared between numerous members of the team.

Accounts Payable will include -
Matching supplier invoices to deliveries and processing for payment.

Advise suppliers and purchasing of any discrepancies.

Reconcile supplier statements.

Raise payments, and purchase currency when necessary.

Reconcile monthly credit card and expenses.

Ability to implement new processes and controls to improve the department

Accounts Receivable include -
Daily invoice procedure.

Processing receipts by BACS, cheque and credit card.

Monitoring credit limits and credit insurance.

Telephoning customers to chase overdue accounts.

Request POD's from carriers and suppliers, and pass onto customers.

Weekly AR reports.

Ability to implement new processes and controls to improve the department

Skills and Attributes
Minimum AAT Level 2 pass (current studiers will be considered), study support also considered to complete AAT qualification.

2 years accounts office experience is an advantage.

Xero user experience would be an advantage.

Good communication and customer service skills.

Flexibility and positive attitude to work.

Attention to detail with the ability to multitask.

Experience of IT office systems e.g. Word and Excel.

Salary:
From £9.50 per hour
