Are you a qualified AHP, who has had a break from their profession for longer than 2 years but is looking to 'Return to Practice'? have you previously been on the HCPC register but your registration has now lapsed? are you looking to work within Herefordshire?


If so, then we can offer an exciting opportunity to support you with your 'Return to Practice' journey with a placement opportunity within our Trust.

This is a great opportunity to take steps towards returning to your AHP career and the HCPC register.


We understand that during their career, many Allied Health Professionals may not practise their profession for a period of time.

Whatever the reason for this pause in your career, if you are now ready to come back to your profession and resume your practice, Wye Valley NHS Trust is keen to support you.


We can support the following AHP Returnees within the Trust: Podiatrists, Dietitians, Occupational therapists, Operating Department Practitioners, Orthoptists, Physiotherapists, Radiographers, Speech and language therapists

Honorary Contract unpaid but potentially lead to an opportunity for a band 4 salary.


We will provide you with an experienced Practice Supervisor to support you to achieve your self-guided learning outcomes whilst on placement with us.

To ensure that returning to your AHP career is as simple as possible, we offer you a supportive, flexible and varied learning experience, including Trust induction, clinical supervision, mandatory training and in-service training, enabling you to 'Return to Practice' with the contemporary skills, knowledge and competence required in the present healthcare climate.
