The Team

This role is an exciting opportunity to be part of the EU LIFE funded Life in the Ravines project led by Natural England in the East Midlands.

The Life in the Ravines project is a critical partnership project to combat the devastating effects of ash dieback in the Special Area of Conservation ravine woodlands of the White Peak, in the Peak District National Park.

Project Objectives:

  • Restore more than 800ha of SAC mixed ravine woodland on poor soils which are currently dominated by ash
  • Diversify existing woodland structures to ensure long term viability and to lessen the impacts climate change and future diseases
