Are you an experienced Transport Supervisor looking for a new opportunity to support rapid growth of a 3PL company based in Nottingham?
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Logistics/Transport Supervisor who is keen to be a part of a supportive company culture and bring passion to the growth of a 3PL company, with prospects to progress as the company scales up.
Responsibilities include:
- Routing, Reporting (Internal & External), Administration of Vision WMS & DispatchTrack Systems
- Ensuring optimum use of resources & drivers. To ensure efficient and productive routing for all drivers
- Liaising with the Head Driver to ensure compliance with DBS, DVLA Checks, Manual Handling, and other Company policies and procedures
- Vehicle Supervision (Including Insurance, Check Sheets, Fuel, Maintenance/Damage) Ensuring optimum use of resources & hiring/dehiring vehicles
- Managing Logistics Staff rotas in line with the business needs, making sure holidays are covered
- Monitoring drivers hours / tracking progress throughout the day
- Documentation/Paper/POD control. Ensure compliance with GDPR within staff and drivers
- Managing information or general administration support
- Monitoring, evaluating, and reporting Depot KPI's
- General supervisory tasks such as Fuel invoicing checks, updating PO log, ordering uniform, consumables etc.
- Managing objective goals with Business Support Administrators ensuring all on schedule/support needed to complete
- Ensure the Health & Safety of all staff, contractors, and visitors on site
- Assessing and appraising (directreporting staff)
- Planning and organising depot workloads
- Evaluating and decisionmaking
- Understanding of financial budget
- Ensure all office daily checks are conducted in accordance with procedures
- Assisting the Logistics Manager with duties / projects as required
- Cover / Assist Customer Services Supervisor when needed to ensure all work is completed
Essentials required to succeed:
- Minimum 1 year experience for transport & warehouse operations
- Computer literate: WMS, Trafficking systems, Word & Excel
- Minimum 1 year Management/Supervisory experience
- Budget/Cost Management experience
- Vehicle Supervision
- Be able to commute to Nottingham site reliably
- Commit to 40 hours across Monday-Friday
