As Health Records Team Leader your role is to support the Health Records Supervisor, in providing a quality and efficient Health Records service to the Trust, You will provide leadership to the Health Records Clerks for an allocated section of the department on a daily basis working between the hours 8:30 - 17:00 Monday to Friday.


You will be required to work on two sites, The Basepoint Business Centre in Winnal, as well in the Medical Records Hub, Royal Hampshire County Hospital, both of which are in Winchester.


As well as being the role-model for the team, the Team Leader will provide line management support for the supervisor in recruiting, training, supporting and developing staff.


The work also requires the lifting, carrying and moving of paper-based records throughout each day, some of which are stored at floor level and others may be on higher shelves only accessible with stools or ladders.

Collections of records, boxes and even individual files may be heavy (up to 10kg).


The Team Leaders will also provide support for the team and the Trust in its project to move to a digital Health Records Service.

Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust provides hospital services to a population of around 600,000 patients in Hampshire.

These services are delivered across multiple locations including its own hospitals, Andover War Memorial Hospital, Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital and Royal Hampshire County Hospital, Winchester.

Each hospital has its own Outpatient Department and, in addition, outpatient and assessment services are provided at Alton community hospitals and Eastleigh Health Centre.


The Health Records Department (also known as Medical Records) is responsible for the management, storage and provision of records for all patients.

Working as part of a team as clerks, Team leaders & Supervisors, Health care records are Created and prepared for patients throughout the Trust hospital sites.
